Eric Winkler

Eric holds a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. He attended Danville Area Community College where he played baseball as a pitcher and center fielder. He enjoys helping others improve the quality of their life. He specializes in muscle development, performance, and weight loss. His hobbies are spending time with his son, working out, watching sports, and playing men’s slow pitch softball on a travel team.

Clay Maxfield

Clay Maxfield is a certified personal trainer that has been training for nearly 5 years. Aside from personal training he has also taught at Delphi Community School Corporation as an Advanced P.E./Weight training instructor along with middle school P.E. education. Outside of these endeavors he has also been coaching junior-high basketball for 6 years.

Clay looks to instill his passion and knowledge for fitness to anyone willing to learn, all the while aiding them along their journey to a healthier lifestyle. In his free time, Clay enjoys being outdoors with his beagle Bruce, and spending time with friends and family.

Kate Mercker

Kate has always had a passion for athletics and being physically fit. That passion was instilled in her from a young age from all of the time she spent on a court, field, or dance floor. In light of this passion, the Nutrition, Fitness and Health program was an obvious choice when deciding on what program to attend when furthering her education at Purdue University. After graduating from Purdue University she obtained her Personal Training Certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. Kate has always enjoyed working with older adults and is a Certified Silver Sneakers Instructor. As Kate has been working as a Personal Trainer and Silver Sneakers Instructor for a year now she is even more sure that she has chosen her perfect career path!

Lauren Ransom

Lauren is a NASM Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Les Mills Grit instructor. She also holds a certification in TRX Suspension Training. A former collegiate athlete, Lauren has an extensive background and passion for strength, conditioning, speed, endurance, and agility training. She prides herself on making training sessions fun, yet challenging, educational, and most importantly effective to the needs of her clients! Sharing her knowledge for health and wellness at the Club has always been a passion. In her free time, Lauren enjoys going on adventures with her four kids, visiting family, cooking, and reading.

Sabrina Bowers

Sabrina is a Certified Personal Trainer. She also holds a certification in TRX Suspension Training. Originally from New Mexico and comes to us with eight years of personal training experience in various capacities. She is an Army spouse and the mother of two kids. As a former police officer, she also understands the demands of life and how hard it can be to put yourself first. She focuses on all aspects of wellness to make the best and healthiest version of ourselves. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys taking vacations with her family, roller derby and skiing.


Melissa Garber

Mel graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Dietetics. She did an internship at Miami Valley hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Melissa has been a Registered Dietitian for over 25 years! While she recognizes exercise is one key component to a healthy lifestyle, the fact remains a balanced nutrition plan must also be considered for long terms. As a Registered Dietitian, Mel has the passion to help someone find a happy healthy balance with Nutrition.
